You need
Parts
- Timing chain set (comes with crank and cam gears and new chain)
- Valve spring kit and valve seals (good time to replace the seals)
- You can re-use your stock lifters, and pushrods.
Gaskets
- Head gasket kit
- Intake manifold kit (comes with thermostat, dissy and intake gaskets)
- RTV sealant
- Timing cover gasket kit (comes with water pump gasket)
- Gasket remover stuff and a scraper (razor kind works the best)
You also need a 12 pack of your favorite brew to celebrate when you are done.

I would get a whole new timing set with it. You'll also need new valve springs to handle the lift of that cam with 1.6's. Also, as long as you're doing work to them I'd get the studs pinned on the heads just to be safe.

Something that's good to about .510 lift. I'm not too great on spring pressure choices so what I would do is find a Comp Cam that's very similar to the LT1 Cam w/ 1.6's which comes out to like I.480/E.490 Lift and see what springs they recommend for it. You'll be fine with stock diameter springs too.

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark, but why do I get the feeling we are gonna end up doing this in my driveway?
