knock sensor tbi to lt1?

knock sensor tbi to lt1?

hi,

my knock counts are high at the moment.
i changed the fuel to a higher octane.

a friend of mine say that my knock sensor is too sensitve and adviced me t put in a knock sensor from a lt1.

are these lt1 knock sensors less sensitve??

What type of knock sensor are you running now? They aren't all interchangeable. They vary by displacement and ecm.

LT1 knock sensors are not compatible with our systems. To my understanding they are also far more sensitive. There is nothing wrong with the stocker on these cars. You need to find the source of your knock counts and avoid any band aid solutions.

My knock counts are high becasue of my headers
i have put in a 350 knock sensor(new)

was:AC-Delco 213-324

how tight did you install it? if you think it is 'too sensative' you might try backing it out just a hair.

what is the nm torque for the sensor?
