another tbi going 350

I will be swapping to a L98 350 out of a 91 Z28 shortly.. i have done some searches but i didnt get everything i need since everyones post is specific to what they need. I want to make sure i get everything i need. I do know i will need a caprice cop car chip to get the car up and moving.. as well as 65# injectors or 61# injectors. my question is what other little stuff will i need to complete this swap TBI wise i am pretty set with the engine swap itself and the required gaskets and all. Any help would be appreciated this will be my first swap and all advice is welcome. What do you guys think of that vafpr that you can get from gmpartsdirect???

Also i have a weiend stealth intake sitting around but it is made for pre-87 heads. how hard is it for me to elogate the center two bolt holes.. Any of you local guys know how to do this? You think a machine shop would be able to do it for me??
thanks all help is welcome and advice
Shawn

There should be a sticky that covers the 305 to 350 TBI swap. Anyways, I'm pretty sure it's mainly the chip, injectors and knock sensor. But I'd definitely get my hands on a Walbro fuel pump, and a wide-band O2 sensor while I was at it.

It's not that hard at all. But if it's you're first time though, have a machine shop do it. The last thing you want is to ruin you're intake. Unless you have a 'spare' lying around that you can practice on...?

ive got a chip u can borrow for a little bit, i passed smog with it in, so im guessing its tuned somewhat correctly... if you need any help man, LET ME KNOW!!! im bored!!

U also need, a 350 knock sensor (GM# 10456288), 350 knock module (GM# 16128261)... ive seen some guys running the VAFPR, but ive also heard it makes tuning IMPOSSIBLE... its not that hard to do the bolt holes, bill (azvolfan) and James (90_ws6_Formula) did the reverse of that to fit a newer intake on older heads.

No no, there actually isn't a sticky for this swap, I was just implying that there should be one.... as this topic is one of the more common.

if you are taking the block out of a 91z28 then it has a 350 TPI knock sensor, i dont think the TPI and TBI sensor are the same.

The knock sensor is threaded and screws into the side of the block on the passenger side. I think the late model TPI knock sensors were different, I think not a separate ESC module.

Don't bother getting it fromt he guy, just buy a knock sensor and ESC module from a Caprice 350 TBI or something similar.

They don't go bad, they just have to match the displacement (mainly bore size). What i'm saying is that his engine is a TPI engine and you're going to make it a TBI engine, so use a TBI sensor. A 350 TBI sensor is what you want.
