I am going to perform this mod on my car i just want to clear some things up

1. On page one, step3 in http://snflupigus.tripod.com/tech/op...tep1/step1.htm

It states that you have to take the breather filter off from the bottom of the air cleaner. Does anyone have pictures of this.

Also where do i put the termac?

What do i do after i unplug the IAT sensor?

What does the spacer ring look like?

Theres pictures and explaination of some things. I just need more explanation.

Theres an open element FAQ at the top of the board. See that first.

As far as the breather goes, you can get a push-in filter from most autoparts stores. They should even throw in a grommet but make sure to take the breather tube (black thing haning out the pass. side of the stock air cleaner) with you as a reference for the size. IIRC, some of thethe older style aftermarket valve covers have different diameter openings for the breathers.

The thermac is gone. Just pull the stove pipe off, plug the vacuum port thatll be left open when you remove the aircleaner, and thats it.

The spacer ring sits under the stock aircleaner and allows it to clear the linkages and such. You probably wont need this with your new filter if its a non-drop base.

As far as teh IAT goes, remove it, and zip-tie the sensor to the firewall somewhere (make sure its plugged in, of course).

That one would be fine. You can really use any size you want provided you don't exceed hood clearance with a super tall element.

I did not like the idea of zip ties, so I drilled a hole in the replacement air cleaner base for the sensor to pop into place, I also just used a push in type of breather.
this pic shows the original tube for breather, which do not use any longer
