why not run a cable from the throttle to the "throttle" on the flapper, that way as you pushed your foot down further, the flapper opened more?

I'm assuming you have a cross-fire camaro then (i have one too ) and the best place to get a motor for the "X-Ram" as it's called, would be a junk yard. But it's rare finding one in a junkyard so i'd say look around for specialty shops or a shop that can order it for you.

Say. Is the 305 CFI better or worse than the TBI?

most people will say worse, but i say they are WRONG! it was the strongest thirdgen until the IROC came about, and had just as much torque. Started right up for me everytime, even after storing it for winter, and had no problems. Plus they had one of the best excellerations except for the L98 350 TPI

flapper hood motor/crossfire

as far as a motor for the crossfire hood flapper, you could try a motor for a second gen camaro with cowl induct, might be very simillar-maybe from a 1979,???

hood flapper motor

try second gen camaro, maybe a 1979 with cowl induc.--------try either , paddock, or year one,--one of them offered it.--or if yours is just lazy,[slow],or not opening fully try cleaning with electrical cleaner, ----i did this and also took motor apart and shortened the spring inside for less resistance.----------carls1982z

crossfire bad rap

which is better single TBI or crossfire, thats a easy question ---TBI , but only because, of the time [82] that crossfire came out, and no one knew how too work on them, and all the mods you see now are for single TBI.---------CROSSFIRE GETS BAD REP
