Fuel pump out tank

Fuel pump out tank

Hi

What happen if i put the fuel pump out gas oil tank?,for example in cab or outside tank. I use my 350TBI in 4x4 then constantly it pump fail and you have out tank,out pump,etc.

There are company's that sell inline fuel pumps. It will retain the stock pickup but instead will place a pump in the feed line. Supercharger kits for LT1 and LS1 cars come with similar set-up. Aeromotive sells inline pumps I believe.

My question is specificment for fuel pump stock in cab or outside tank.

My friend have changed 4 fuel pump this year.,

I think that even if you go with one outside the tank, you will still have to pull the tank to put a pipe in place of your existing fuel pump in order for the external pump to work. Am i right? Anyone?

That's incorrect. It might be the best way, but an inline pump can and will pull through the stock pickup.

If I were you, I'd purschase a nice inline pump and stick in close to the tank but in an easy-to-get-to area...

Ok, thanks.

Today I put my pump in tank again and new pressure gauge (12,8PSI )
