89 TBI same as '91? Also L05 swap PROM question

89 TBI same as '91? Also L05 swap PROM question

I picked up a 91 RS today, I have a Helms for my '89, is the '91 TBI the same setup as the '89?

Also, what year Caprice prom do I need for an LO5 swap? Car has a LO5 crate engine in it, but is running on the LO3 PROM.

Car's got some ***** too.

My first f-bod was an 89 and now I have a 91 and there is not too many differances. As far a the LO5 prom I used one from an 89 and a 90 when I had a 350 in mine and could not tell the differance. When the 350 goes back in though I will use a modded 305 5 speed calibration to start with.

From an 89 or 90 9C1 sedan (with VIN code 7) only.

The 91-93 9C1 with LO5 used a different ECM.

In 91' they switched to a different style throttle position sensor.

I'll send you an email of my findings...think I'm getting it close, spent a few hours on it yesterday, replaced the O2 sensor (fouled) backed off the fuel pressure some, and now I can get O2 crosscounts working (in idle) all the way up to 3000RPMs...check you hotmail account.
