What's this part called?
Hey,
Whats the little adaptor piece called that goes into the hole by arrow in the intake below? The one that the coolant line is just stuck into and locked in place by a little plastic clip.
Does anyone know?
Mine broke right off today so I need to get a new one asap. Probably need to take off the d@mn intake to replace it too. Im f***king starting to hate this d@mn engine!

That is for the heater core. It's a good place to pick up the coolant for the heat, unlike the older carb intakes that make you take it from the front where the thermostat is.

Ok, I may be slow - but....
Again, Im trying to find the name, or ever better, part number for the piece of aluminum pipe/adaptor that goes in the threaded hole by the arrow on the intake. Mine broke so I need a new one.
I know what it is and what it does

Any help appreciated!

The following is from the GM B car (Caprice, Roadmaster) Parts & Illustration book for 91-96 model years, specifically from the LO3/LO5 engine page concerning heater hose hook up to the intake manifold (p 6-G25, in Group 8.000). It might not be the exact part you need (the book is for fullsize cars, you have a 3rdgen), but my guess is that it should work because the engines are very similar (TBI):
Fitting, heater hose
(1/2" - 14 NPTF with 5/8" nipple)
(1/2" - 14 x 1 and 23/32" long)
Group 8.866
GM part number 497853
used with a worm gear hose clamp
So the part you need is probably a brass hose fitting, with a barb on one end (for the heater hose) and pipe threads (National Pipe Thread) on the other end. You can also measure the old one that broke to verify the size.
You should be able to find one in Norway, but if you can't there's always
www.mcmaster.com
HTH (hope this helps).
EDIT: search for broken heater fitting or something similar and you'll find many other people like you have had the same problem.
