Ordered pulley kit for the ZZ383

Just ordered the pulley setup for the new motor. I cant wait to get everything together and post some pics!

I got the setup from summit, it was $1900, includes alt, P/S pump, A/C, Water Pump, etc.

That is sweet man. Will they work with the already existing wiring harness?

According to summit it's plug-n-play... if it isn't... I'll make it work

I'm trying to find wheels that match those pulley covers now

Looks like it includes a decent A/C compressor, etc. But the price is a major killer. Cost more then my TKO!

It's worth the price because it includes everything I need. I can bolt it all on with the motor on the stand, swing it in, and be done, plus it's nice to have a polished AC compressor, alternator, water pump, and PS pump

I will post some pics once I buy the motor it's going to be bolted to (ZZ383 TBI)

I think the wheels on my camaro match those pulleys pretty closely. Unfortunately I don't know much about them because they were on the car when I bought it. I DO know that they're American Racing wheels because they say ARE on the centre cap. I hope this helps someone find them.

Why did you buy the pulleys before the engine? Just wondering that seems backwards to me. Oh yeah where are you buying your engine from? Or are you having built by a shop?

The trans itself was 1800 or so. With all the extra add ons and other accesories + shipping it was around 2180 or so if my memory serves me right. Still need a clutch and lots of misc. hardware.

Those pulleys are nice. Jim, is this going to be a show car?

I have a 350 sitting in my garage right now with 0 miles on it. I bought it for my dad's 69 Chevelle a few years ago but he hasn't taken any steps to restore the car. If I can't come thru with the $5k for the ZZ383, I'm going to put that 350 in my camaro. I'm buting the engine from Summit.

Thanks, It's going to be a nice, fast car that I can pop the hood on, and that I'll keep clean, and possibly win a few shows, but It will be a daily driver over the summer months provided gas isn't $7/gallon by then. Theres no point in owning a car if you don't drive it

I think I'm going to buy a set of C4 wheels... don't really see them on 3rd gens too often

I actually have never seen them on our cars at all. They should look good though.

As for the tranny, how much power can that thing take? I am looking at buying an aftermarket tranny right now too and am leaning towards a t56 from d and d performance.

Does tko do good work?
