350 or 305 tbi heads?
hey guys I needs your help again, well i found a 350 hyd roller engine at my dads shop, the boss man said he would sell it for $350, the only thing i noticed is it has older model heads on it, he siad it came out of a late model truck it said L99 on the block above the oil filter, they notched out the holes in the intake to make it fit the older heads and now all it does is leak, I know for carbed engines 305 heads are a no-no for a 350 unless you either got dished pistons or are ready to run race fuel because of compression, but is it like that for tbi engines as well, will i need to find a set of 350 tbi heads?
i know where an 87 chevy pick up sits right now that has a tbi engine in it and im not sure if they put 305's in trucks then or not
any help would be appreciated

i dont think ud have to nessesarliy get tbi head but id guess it would be best to get the proper kind of heads as far perimeter or center bolts r concerned and match the intake to that bolt pattern.
