took two years to do but i was able to burn through the wire harness where the alternator feed exists. took out a part of my wire harness/alternator/and fusable link. had adequate clearance, so we thought, but over TWO years it took its toll. now have a high temp tube covering the area for ultimate protection.

may wanna check double your clearances and add protection whereever!
