Idle problems, now drivability problems part 2.
Sorry to start a new thread, but it seems like everyone stoped helping me once I thought I fixed my problem I've been posting on my "high idel " thread but no one seems to be checking it out.
So, I thought I post up my progress so far on a new one and see if anyone checks it out.
So far I've noticed that whenever I turn right my car tends to not have power when i give it gas, it wont bog the pedal will barely give it any gas.
I hear a hiss after I let off the gas. It sounds like this. Gas.. vroom..let off the gas... hissss.... back to normal!
I drove around in WOT and my air fuel mixture is not even on the chart. My engine than got up to 200, which is unusuall since I run a 170thermo with 91 octane all the time.
Than later at WOT it would run ideal, barely going into rich.
So, sometime it will run way lean, sometimes it will run ideal at WOT.
I checked the timing with unplugged tanw/black wire, and it was at 8 advanced. This is what it should run with brians chip that I have.
All these problems started happening after I did the tune up. I replaced the coil with the MSD blaster coil, and I got a blue thunder cap and rotor.
Do you think its the cap and rotor???
Fuel pump???
Bad TPS???
Bad oil preassure sender unit??
Although my oil preassure only dips under 30barely, when the engine is hot.
I will start replacing these components one after the other, but I need some sanity and some help. And you guys are great help.
I have bosch 4tip platnums, and autolite prostock silicone supression cables.
Why does it hiss like that??? THis car did not used to do this.
The after gass hiss!?!?!
Also, the timing was steady, it did not jump from place to place or anything indicating that my chain is still good (I hope).
Anything to do with the cansiter, some lines there are pretty fragile, but no fuel leaking.
Maybe a new filter.???
AAAAAARERERERRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH

It still sounds like a vacume leak to me.... which I did mention in the other thread.
You do know that there is a vacume line that goes to the canaster...

Beyond that, you can start going thru what you replaced, get a new cap/rotor, as they are cheap. Check the resistance in all 8 plug wires, that will rule those in or out. If you do plugs, don't get those 4+ things, just get some good old delco's and save some money.
Have you considered trying to put the stock chip back in, and then timing it to 0*?

I did concider the stock chip!
I might just do that since I am going to NOS. It seems like a vacum leak, and that hissing afterwards is puzzling.
I am thinking that the hiss afterwards is something that happens after acceleration. In this case the canister is responsible for the extra fuel and gases?!? I'll change those lines, and get a new filter in the canister.
New fuel pump is going in, and I am putting in a new adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I also wanna know who sells fuel preassure gauges that the read out gauge can be mounted inside the car?!?!

when you let off the gas at high RPM's, vacume is highest... a leak might just hiss.

Man, I am still having the stupid fuking problem.
I checked my canister and it sounds like there is a lot of crap in there. however, its all sealed up which pissed me off. I bought a freakin air filter for it!
I replaced the fuel filter, cts, checked every freaking vacum line. Even went ahead pinching the vacum lines and it was still doing it.
That hiss after acceleration. Its loud and instead of hissing when accelerating, its hissing after I let off gas. I am thinking TPS, and I am cleaning the IAC. These are the only things that I am thinking off. If not I will be very pissed, to the point where the TBI is gone!

It was CAP and ROTOR.
They were brand new, brass blue thunder crap.
I got them fixed, apparently it was rubing the wrong way, and I belive that it was a bit off from 8 terminals. So, I jamed it in right this time, and what a fuking dfference.
Wow, I can't belive that I put such a crappy CAP and ROTOR on my car. I am furious.
Anyways, the problem is fixed now.
So, for whoever has these problems after doing the coil and distributor change, this might be the problem.
Check twice.
I actually smoked my tires from start today, something i've missed for few weeks now.
