TBI w/ TH-350 trans
Hi Guys, I have an 82 z28, it was originally a crossfire car. Well, the 305 develpoed a rod knock, so I decided to get a GM Goodwrench crate 350.
I wanted to keep it fuel injected, so I went to the local pick and pull, and found an 91 C-20 van with 350, so i grabbed the intake, throttle body, ecm, wiring harness and all the sensors.
I also decided to upgrade the th-200 trans to TH-350, so I pulled on of those out of a 76 Camaro. Then I had the trans re-built locally.
Now I have it almost together, but I cant get the kickdown cable to work with the throttle body setup. I tried using the original bracket from the 76 camaro that had the TH-350 and a Q-jet, but it puts the kickdown cable so far back, that I cannot hook it to the post on the throttle body.
Then I tried to use the kickdown cable bracket from the TBI van, it puts the kickdown cable too far forward
So are any of you guys running a TH-350 Transmission with your TBI, and if so, what kickdown bracket did you use?
I'm thinking I could run a piece of wire between the kickdown cable and the trottle linkage, but it would look gerry rigged....
Thanks!

I used the original kickdown bracket from a 2-bbl application. The engine was originally a SBC with a 2-bbl carb on it and a TH350 trans. Used a stock TBI intake (slotted the center holes), stock 2-bbl TBI unit, and reused the original throttle and kickdown bracket. Application is a '78 ElCamino.

Thank You Rbob... Off to the junkyard now to look for a 2bbl bracket!

Some late 80s trucks and vans had the TH350-C behind TBI engines which would be the brackets to get. Or just buy a late model kickdown cable for the TH350. Just get one for like a mid 80s truck from your local autoparts house. The cable has basically (fits the same bracket/linkage) the same end as a 700r4 but is for a TH350 on the transmission end.
