I need to pull the intake this week and am also a throttle body with 2" bores. Is a Projection intake considerably better?

i havent really heard of it being better it just already has the large bore and is cheaper...but its not a direct swap. it will bolt up but some changes will have to be made theres a post on here discribing step by step what had to be done.

Guess I'll find out. Ordered a Holley last night to replace my Edelbrock.

You will be happy with the holley intake. It requires very slight mods to make everything work, but well worth the little extra effort. I have never been impressed by the edelbrock tbi intake...it's just a performer intake w/ tbi mounting and 1 11/16" bores.
You should definetely think about a cam swap if you haven't done so already to better utilize the intake. If that is outta the question, at least go with 1.6 rockers.
