To swap any 350 in, you need a 350 knock sensor, 350 ESC module, 350 injectors, and a 350 PROM/chip. You can get these parts used or new, usually from a 350 TBI full-size truck or Caprice, but the PROM has to come from the 350 Caprice because the trucks use a different ECM. The stock Caprice PROM will get the motor up and running, but your definitely going to need some tuning. A stock LO5 PROM is not going to handle a L98 motor too well.

The harmonic balancer is not supposed to move in that way, it is broken. The outer ring and inner ring have separated.

It should handle it okay if the L98 is stock. The L98 wasn't that far off performance wise of the LO5. Especially the early ones. Some LO5's even came with the L98 cam. The 193 heads flow almost identical to the 083's in stock trim. However, as Benm mentioned, chip work is always needed to make an engine run at its best.

Well if you look at my 90 camaro list in my signiture that is what is going to go on the 350. How about the 081 heads??? Are the heads on the 5.7 l98 already good???

_350 ESC module_ you mean by the module that is in the distributor? They are not the same?

Why would it differ???? The coil is the same, the distributor is the same???? At auto zone it has the same part #.

The ESC module is located on the driver side firewall. The coil and dizzy are interchangable as you mentioned. The 083 heads found on the L98 are decent and respond well to porting. The 081's IIRC have the same chamber shape and port size but just have a smaller 58cc vs 64cc chamber size. I would keep the 083's because they have larger valves.
