HELP!!! Ready To Repair And Modify

Hello everyone,
I am looking for a lot of help on this one.......
I have a 1992 Camaro RS 305 TBI that I am in the process of getting up and running and I need some expert advice on good modifications to make in order to get this thing running.

Please give me some good suggestions for making my car run correctly again and also please help with the problems that I have listed below.

Problems:
Gauges not functioning except for after long preiods of driving--------- Please help with suggestions of possable reasons for this.
I was thinking it was the comp but not sure, already checked the connection to the transmission as previously suggested.

Any help and recommendations will be greatly appreciated....

it is the speedo and the odometer, they will turn on after a long time of driving but stop shortly after.
I am not sure if the rest of them are working either but I do know that the fuel does work

I have checked all of the standard fuses under the steering wheel but none appear to be burnt out.
Are there any other fuses that I may be missing in another area?

It seems weird that that gauges would be intermittant and will come on after a while of driving, a good example is if I am driving across town on the freeway they wil come on for a while and then go off again shortly after....

Also as a side note the engine fan seems to be intermittant as well...... I have already replaced the fusable link
