305 - 350 a lil help
my engine is knocking it's at a shop being checked.but
just incase if i do need another engine will my 305 setup go on a 350? 350 is or was a tpi engine. so do i need to change a few things? or will it run ok?...and also how much more HP will the 350 give me?

You can run a 350 TBI with great success if you take the time to learn how to do it right. A 350 will bolt up to your existing TBI stuff (wiring, TBI unit, intake etc etc) but you will be required to change a few things. You will need a 350 knock sensor, 350 injectors, and chip work at the very least. It is recommended that you upgrade your exhaust at this time as well. You will really choke a larger displacement motor if you run it through your horribly restrictive stock exhaust manifolds. The main thing will be your willingness to learn how to do the chip work. Without it your car will never run to its full potential. Take some time to search on the 305 to 350 TBI swap. There are plenty of threads that go into great detail of what you need to do.
