Performer TBI Intake (something different to ponder)

Ok, think about this before you bash the idea. Would it be possible to take a performer tbi intake bore it to 2 inches for a 670tbi AND cut out a section between the bores similar to a RPM AIRGAP plenum? This would allow both sides of the engine to draw air and fuel from both bores of the tbi. What does this sound like? I know you would have to address the EGR passages but that I believe could be covered by filling part of the holes so they didn't open up to much.

Before everyone says just get a different manifold, I've already got this one and I need one with EGR. So think about it, it would increase the plenum size and pull from both sides of the tbi. Would it work?

Just put a spacer between the TB and intake that has one large opening vs 1 per bore. Same effect, plus even more plenum.

As did I.

Refer to this thread here. If you siamese the bores you will cut into an EGR passage.

Boring the Edelbrock TBI intake
