305 to 350 TBI
Hey guys,
I have read through the stickies and I think I have MOST of the bases covered but let me know what you think. I have to replace the 700r4 in my factory LO3 car (89 camaro). I am looking to build a 350 while everything is out instead of putting the 305 back in.
I am not looking to build a monster for the street as it will be my daily driver once its finished. Basically a rebuilt 350 (around 270hp, 9:1 CR) with maybe a cam upgrade, stock vortec heads, edelbrock perf intake, adapter plate with my TBI.
I know I need the 350 knock sensor.
350 injectors
255 walbro pump
tune
shorty headers
cat back exhaust
Anything else I'm missing?
Thanks!
Mike

Sounds like you got most of it covered. A quick way to get close to tune is to maybe get a used ECM & prom from an L05 Truck. Using vortec heads you may have to do some work with the EGR crossover if you need it. Also, tuning for vortec may be a bit different then standard 350.
