Starting trouble, yet again!

Alright, I've got an 89 Camaro RS. It's got a TBI 305(L03), plenty of mods. Recently it has been having trouble starting. It will start fine most of the time, but every now and then it just will not start, it is not consistent with its lack of starting. It doesn't do this within a certain pattern, i.e. when it's hot, when it's cold, after i drive it, there is no pattern it just won't start sometimes. I've had the battery and alternator both tested,on and off of the car and they are fine. The only things i have connected straight to my battery are my sound system, MSD 6a, and nitrous system. I have checked all of those wires and they have no shorts, all connections are good. When i turn the key, i don't even get a click from the starter. The fuel pump comes on, all of the accessories work, but nothing from the starter. I'm most likely purchasing an optima battery (yellow top) within the next two days. Do you guys think this might fix the problem, or do you guys have any other ideas or possible scenarios. Mods include, MSD 6a, MSD Blaster Coil, Accel 8.8 mm wires, A/C delete, BBK Underdrive pulleys (2 pc) water pump and crank, Hypertech Fan switch, 160 thermostat, Open Element K&N, B&M Corvette servo, B&M 3-4 Upshift kit, Royal purple in the engine, Trick shift in the tranny.

If you are getting no click at all, I would image there is something going on with something going to the starter. I would check the leads to the starter, and the grounds. You could also get in there with a DVOM, and make sure things are good.

I had a ground come undone from the starter on my car, it did all sorts of wacky things.

I checked all of the connections to the starter, and they we're all tight and in good condition. Also, all of the grounds were good and tight.

Nope, the security light doesn't stay on. Keep the ideas coming.

There is a fuseable link coming from the batter to the starter, you might make sure that is in good shape, and not getting melted by the exaust for some reason.

I def. sounds electrical. I guess it might also be your ignition block, or switch. It might be time for you to get out the DVOM and the wiring diagrams, and have at it.

I'd say the switch.
If it is the switch you can (usually) wiggle the shifter making sure it is in park, also this checks the park/nutral switch. While your holding the key in the Start position.
Next tilt the wheel if it has tilt stearing.
But all this can only be done if it will not start.
