intake for my tbi

i am building an early model 350 and am going to use my tbi setup...what is the best type of intake to use with this setup?spreadbore or open...im thinking of using an edelbrock performer intake (with the tbi to carb adapter of course).any suggestions will help me...
.....Also what do you guys think about timing gears instead of a chain.....thx

Stick with the chain style. Gear drives are noisy and can fool the knock sensor into thinking there is knock.
