New TBI wiring harness?
An '86 Trans Am that I'm working on has a trashed engine bay harness (from firewall to headlights... a real mess) and I'm looking at replacing it. I did a search and didn't come up with any sources for TBI harnesses, as all the harness threads I saw are about switching to TPI. Painless doesn't have one. Any suggestions?

An '86 3rd gen should not have a factory installed TBI system. If you are installing TBI you can use any TBI harness out of any '88 thru '92 TBI 3rd gen. They are everywhere and they are cheap. Painless does sell one but it is upwards of $500. A local junk yard should have one for next to nothing. You can even use one out of an LO3 or LO5 caprice.

Oops, sorry. I was told it was an '86, but I just grabbed the VIN and it says '85 L69.
I guess I'll go hunt for a junkyard harness then.
