junk for short but, look at the tech section for exacts. I think i remember reading 180s for duration and sub 400 lift at the rockers....
better off as a paperweight....

Wow. The LT1 is 279 int, 276 exh @ .447 int, .459 exh. Not sure about the LSA or intake centerline.
With a moderate to good tune, what kind of power increase can I expect from the LT1 cam. I am replacing the springs and the timing chain assembly when I do it.
I am thinking about getting a tune from PCMforless. Would that get me rolling ok?

No, the LT1 cams are around 203/207 @ .050, .447/.459, 116* lobe seperation on a 112* intake centerline

Oh. I got that info from a LT1 Corvette site. Is there a difference between the Vette and F-Body cam?
How about the tune? Will the car be drivable/perform well?

With a good intake, exhaust, and tune the LT1 cam will make the little L03 perform alot better. It will take a good tune though.
The F and Y body LT1 cams are very similar and in some cases the same.
You are looking at the cams advertised duration. I am going off .050" specs.
I see no mention of exhaust on your sig. I would suggest replacing the exhaust from the heads to the exhaust tips. A stock L03 truck or even a 4.3 LB4 TBI V6 truck came with 3" exhaust from GM where the F-bodies came with 2.25".
Without exhaust mods, I would actually recomeend the Vortec 305/350 truck cam over the LT1 cam. There are thousands of them out there for CHEAP, they make good power with a somewhat restrictive intake and exhaust, and WILL run well on the stock tune, IN MY EXPERIENCE.

I am planning to get some Hooker Super Comp shorties and full 3 inch exhaust (cat-back) in at the time or before I put in the cam. I am also looking at a 1" TB spacer, a 1/4" injector spacer, and a adjustable FPR....if I can get the guy to e-mail me back.
Would that cover me in the intake area? And would the PCMforless tune work for me? I have heard from several people that they are good at it, but I've not heard from any TBI guys.

With 1.6 rockers the lift goes up by a factor of 1.6/1.5 (which equals 1.067). In other words, you'll gain about 7% lift. So .350"/.385" will end up .373"/.411". Duration will go up slightly with the 1.6 rockers.
robertfrank, any timeslips with all your mods? Curious if you've broken into the 14's.

no time slips as of yet.I live to far away from a drag strip. Some friends of mine are going to find a long strip of flat road and map out a 1/4 mile with some spray paint. We're getting some stop watches to track the times.i know it won't be totally acurate but it will give us at least a guesstimate.

Re: L03 Cam specs?
I guess so, that was 5 yrs ago, do you still have your RS?, also, did you need to swap in a master cyl, power brake booster, or proportioning valve from an LS1 Camaro to make the combo work right
