Which 14 x 3 open element?

I ahve the factory TBI setup on my 305. Which open element should I get? One that has a drop base or one that doesn't? I hear ones with a drop base won't clear the accelerator cable and i think i may have heard that the normal bases cause it to sit too high? I need a new open element but don't know which one to get...I know jeg's has a nice one for decent price. Can anybody help?
