Its possible, I'd say if you're going to do that sort of swap go LS1 price is about the same anyways. Oh and

An Ls1 would be better, but realistically the lt1 would be cheaper and easier to install. It's like a bang for your buck. You can find a wrecked 4th gen or buy a used lt1 and build it the way you want it. That's what I'm going to do. From what I hear realistically you can just drop it in without custom headers and exhaust, you know the 1200 dollar+ setup Hawks sells. There's also alot of other things you'll need just go to Hawksthirdgenparts.com and click on ls1 swap parts. It gets really pricey. I also heard that an Lt1 in are cars will take an ls1 4th gen, I think it's because we're lighter.

I've talked to people that have done both LT1 and LS1 swaps and they said it was easier to wire up an LS1. While more expensive I think it would be worth it in the long run to not have to worry about things like an optispark and a few other problematic things found in LT1's, not to mention mod for mod you'll get more power out of an LS1.

Dlvalure, you should hook up with fast355 since he is in your neck of the woods. He has been making some serious power from TBI motors and I think he could help get you going in the right direction for a lot less $$ than swapping motors.
