what lines/passages to clean on TBI?

I've read a little about cleaning certain sensors or tubes in order to hopefully fix problems with the Idle, but I'm not sure of what lines/sensors i can clean to see if it helps...what lines around the TBI should be checked?

The passages under the TBI, the PCV system, and the EGR passages are the only things that really build up carbon deposits. Also check that the EGR moves freely and isnt handing open if you take it off to clean the passages.

a rough idle could be a result of carbon build-up in the iac valve. i was going to explain to you how to clean it, then i remembered that i found a thread explaining better than i ever could. good luck and hope it helps.

Just make sure not to get any carb cleaner in the IAC itself. One thing to be really careful of when cleaning is not to wash the grease out of the bearing assembly that supports the rear of the IAC stepper motor, or itll stick.
