I have a TPI cold air setup on my RS. The IAT is still in the air boot near the grill . The TBI hat has no hole for the stock IAT location that the stock wires will reach. Before I mess with extending the wires, would it help,hinder or not matter, having the IAT nearer the air's entrance?

 

I fabricated a similar setup with mine, but I decided to machine a hole in the TBI hat and put the IAT near the original location. I don't kow if having it at the front would make it read colder and the ECM would adjust accordingly or what would exactly happen.
