I've just pulled the beast out of hibernation and she runs great. One thing though is that I turned a corner and gassed it, heard some knocking and the ses light came on? Turn off the car and turn on and no problem? Happened twice and believe it or not at the same corner! Timing issue perhaps? I think I advanced it but I'm not sure if that would do it.

 

Best bet is to pull the code. For some reason I'm thinking code 43, ESC system. Did the power drop off after the SES came on?

When you gass it the ECM will add timing to force knock (which you heard). If the ECM doesn't see that knock it will set code 43 and reduce the timing. It will only try to run this test twice at each engine run. Once it passes won't happen until the next engine startup.
