Raising my TBI into a cowl
I just ordered a cowl hood and am wondering how high can I space my tbi? Is it possible to get my airfilter into my cowl with spacers or is there a point where the spacing is too much? I am estimating I will need 2-3in to get a good portion of the cleaner in.

anyway, since i sold my car i have been really out of the whole thing man... i miss the hell out of it, i should have never sold it and ive been looking for another car but nothing has caught my eye (if you know of anything that i might be interested in thirdgen wise that might be worth taking a look at let me know) ... ive been driving my fathers old 91 trans am lb9/auto and it sucks cuz i miss my TBI/t5... that tbi would own this lb9 even with the mismatch gears in the back... ive been thinking about building a 355 and dropping in a t56 w/ 410s into the 91 but i dont know what i want to do... i have the money but just not sure right now...so lately ive been lurking and thinking about comming back into the thirdgen game just to tune people so idk well see what comes up man

I'll let you know if I see anything around here...If you've got money buy my 350
only $1500 and its completly redone, 300rwhp I beleive.
Modding the manifold I have sounds like a pain in the ***. Maybe it would be more worth it to fork out the 200 for a TBI manifold...
Starting to think next paycheck is manifold + tbi spacer

Re: Raising my TBI into a cowl
I know this is a old thread, but i get alot of my info from old threads so thought Id add this:I have a Goodmark cowl hood and i run a Spectre x-stream filter on top of a 3in tall Spectre round filter on my tbi. Summit racing has them in a summit brand and Ive seen them at pep boys. They make a x-stream top at a better price. What i like about the pep boys Spectre filters is you can get them in ether red or blue. You can really hear the filter sucking through the cowl.
