clearance issues?

clearance issues?
first off im putting a 1/2inch plate under my throttlebody for nitrous and then i want to put on an open element but i dont know what will fit under the hood. also will i need to adjust the throttle cable? how can i do that? anything else?

I run a 1/2" spacer with a 14x3 element on a edelbrock TBI intake (1/4" taller than stock) and it barely clears under the stock hood. You should be fine.
There isn't really a way to adjust the throttle bracket other than a few "tweaks" that are required typically when a spacer is installed. These tweaks often include bending the bracket slightly and or enlarging the bracket holes in order to the slide the bracket more toward the TBI unit. Some people don't have any issues but I did and it took me a few tries to get the bracket positioned in a way so that the TBI unit would fully open and close.

alright thanks im still hoping that the 14x3 fits under my birds hood because i have a nice idea of how to hide my nitrous setup.

so far the 14x3 fits nice under the hood and doesnt touch but i gotta wait for the 1/2" plate now and see how that turns out thatll solve my coil wire rub problem though.
