open element just done

so today i just finished my open element install on my 89 tbi firebird. i went to pepboys and bought a 25 dollar edelbrock proflow air cleaner. i must say there is some difference but it wasnt noticable in my *** dyno but more in how the car acted. before i put it on and floored the car from a stop all i would get is traction. now that i put the open element on the car will squeel the tire from a stop. plus engine bay looks cleaner with more room for my nitrous install now and i have to say it sounds hell of a lot cooler at WOT. i love it would never go back. only hard part to the install was drilling a hole big enough to put that IAC sensor in the new one it took about 15 minutes and a friends drill but i did it and its a clean install. i havent taken any pics but any questions just ask. btw damn thing is squishing my coil wiring to i have to tape those up many times with electrical tape and pushed that plastic wire cover over it. hope it doesnt rub otherwise i got my tape in the center.

I put one on lastnight to the same exact one. Was kinda wandering what the L flange was for but ohwell, I just cant tell if its a good seat on the TBI UNIT, i put a light over top of it didnt see none going through hopefully all is well, as far as the wires are concerned make sure there running behind ur TB linkage mine were pretty well outa the way!

dont think it would be a problem, be the same as starting with the stocker ^^ especially if its been sitting overnight wont make a difference.

no it shouldnt have a problem only thing ive noticed with it starting in the cold weather is the suction sound is a lot louder when you first start it. but other than that no problems what so ever.
