hello
i have a 93 buick roadmaster with a 350 tbi in it. 2 days ago my car overheated and now it is making this kind of banging noise from the front of it near the water pump and harmonic balancer. i suspected that the water pump was going bad since the car had overheated then the noise was coming from the area so i changed it. this had no effect because when the engine warms up the noise will intermittently come back and the engine shakes a little like it needs a tune up or has jumped time a little. like i said i used a piece of hose to track the noise down to either the harmonic balancer or the water pump. i must also add that when i looked at the balancer the 3 outer bolts were loose. could this be my problem or what?
