engine noise?

Transmission: 700R-4
engine noise?
just installed new cam and and lifters into a fairly new engine(under 10,000 miles) now i am hearing a noise coming from the timing cover, or in that area, i shut the car off right away, i hope its not the timing chain or gear, i torqued the timing gear bolts to 20 foot pounds and put thread locker on the bolts, just as the manual said to?
