Ok, can you lock out the timing function and use a TBI and ecu on a carbed application to meter air and fuel accurately independant of timing? Or is the timing control needed for attaining an accurate a/f ratio?
I am asking this as I an looking at using a TBI setup on an application where there is no TBI distributor available. Ive heard modding the existing distributor works, but its seems complicated.

cool cool, but i like the TBI so much, were thinking about the possibility of using one on my friend's toyota pickup. He has a rebuilt 22r with towing cams, a ported, milled head, and a full exhaust. It is pretty strong, and has great midrange, but he hates having to adjust the carb when the weather changes.
