305 TBI Question

Sorry guys i'm new to the whole car scene and i have a question. Under my air cleaner and around the throttle body there is this circular thind with prongs and it looks like an air sensor but im not sure if it is. Can you tell me what it is and where it goes because its just kind of hanging there. I have a 1990 Firebird. Any help would be appreciated. THANKS!

Thanks, when I bought the car it didnt have the original air cleaner and it was just some cheap one. Will an air cleaner from an 89 still work?

Is the spacer built in or is it an extra piece?

You will probably have to drill a hole in the bottom of the air cleaner if it is an aftermarket one for your sensor. I have had my car for 6 years now and still haven't had the time to do it. Kids and a wife what can I say
