emssion question(s)
Okay I got my L69 aircleaner from 3rdgen resource today, the air pump (that box thing)
seems to be the major obstacle.
What are the effects if I just get rid of it?
(emisions are not a concern, except for my guilty conscience).
Also, what if I got an intake thats non-egr?
egr version is more $$$$ and harder to find used. 305 TBI engine.
What about getting rid of spacer ring on aircleaner? I've heard take it off and i've heard keep it.

You sure it's not the AC Compressor? The AIR pump won't have any effect upon removal (other than making you change belt length or routing), but it would not have been in the way on any car I've seen (on the bottom of the passenger side). Check my web-page and see if you engine compartment looks the same as mine (AIR delete).
I've got a non-EGR intake manifold, hell, I disabled the EGR system on my old EGR equipped intake.
If you've got a non-drop air cleaner get rid of the spacer (warning: you'll have to have a 3" element to clear the injectors).

No, my car does not have the air delete.
And it's not the a/c compressor. So if I want
to get rid of it, do you think it would be allright?
What do you mean by non-drop?
The L69 is a factory aircleaner, I bought a
chrome lid for it, thats about 1" taller then stock. Can I ditch the spacer ring?

Removing the AIR pump won't have any adverse effects.
You probably won't be able to ditch the spacer, pull it off and see if the air cleaner gets in the way of anything (throttle linkage, injectors, ect.). If it doesn't, woohoo! If it does, put it back on.
