Beater car...

I'm planning on getting a beater car so I can teach myself how to do things to my car, as to save money on labor. And hey, it's fun at the same time.

I am looking for suggestions for books about mechanics, is there anything I should get? I'm sure I can take it all apart without a book or instruction, but I bet there will be extra parts after, hehe.

Any perticular car that is fairly simmilar to the camaro 5spd? So doing brakes and clutch and so on, it would be pretty well the same thing.

The main purpose of another car, is so I don't have to take my car out of commision while I learn how to do it. Only when I feel I know it well enough, I can take the car off the road. It would be much easier if I knew someone that could help me but most of my friends are ricers, and well, you know....

This car probably wont be mobile, but it wont need to be...

Any help would be much appriciated,
Jason

PS Don't mind the spelling, I didn't read it over

Get another camaro, or better yet, get a firebird!!! Junkers are easy to find for $1000 or less in running condition.
