Engine stall (82 Trans Am)

Hi, I have a problem. The engine(CFI) stalls when the brake is applied for the complete stop. This problem usually occurs right after high speed drive. It's like, RPM goes down too much and stalls as I apply the brake. It doesn't give me any trouble code.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

You need to raise minimum air. A good balancing of the TB's will do that. usually this problem is caused by the idle stop screws. Aftert opening and closing the throttle numerous times they wear and the throttle plates close too far. The ECM isn't fast enough to counteract this with the IAC motors. The ECM is just old crap but opening the throttle plates a bit solves this.

Go to The Cross-Fire injection vault for lots more info!
