Car "stumbling" (kinda long)

I'm about to throw my car away and buy a 4th Gen!! (I really don't want to do that!)

My car seems to stumble or stall when I take off from dead stop or when a step on it.
At first I thought it was just a miss, so I put the old wires on. Didn't stop it. I thought the O2 sensor might be bad, nope.
How about the fuel pressure regulator? No
The Throttle position sensor? No
The cat isn't plugged so the only other thing would be the injectors, right?

Am I missing anything else? CPU bad?
Thanks

Bet thing to do is put it on a Scan Computer which will check out all sensors, fuel delivery, and spark. From my experience, its usually something mechanical, so here are some suggestions:

1. Closely monitor your fuel pressure AFTER any regulator in the fuel system. You may have a bad pump/filter that cant handle high demand.

2. If wires/plugs are good...check/replace the HEI module

3. Inspect your throttle assembly for any possible vacuum leaks.

4. For S's & G's...a CPU swap couldn't hurt if you can get your hands on another chip
