Question about Fuel pressure-what to set at????
I Have a 1990 Camaro RS with a 305 TBI, and i am going to put in an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. My question is what PSI should i set it at. Mods I have: edelbrock intake, headers, exhaust, jacobs ignition and a custom ship, and K&N open air filter.
What PSI whould give me the most benifit, and what is the stock setting, is it the same as the 350's 42 psi? would 46 psi be ideal, or 50 psi? is 50 psi reasonable for the street? I' not that worried about gas mileage(3.73 gears ruin that anyway's). thanks in advance.

You are thinking of TPI
TBI uses low pressure, typically 9-12 psi stock
the answer to your question lies in how your car performs at different fuel pressure settings which is gonna require some back to back testing at the track or some way to know the benefits be it a gtech, stop watch, whatever

ok, so it 9-12 psi stock. I see. So would you suggest(and obviously I'll have to test it out and adjust) an increase to about 15-16 psi, or could i get away with an even higher setting? I want as much horsepower as i can get, and I know I am flowing a good amount of air and have good spark and everything. What is the highest setting you can have with the stock fuel pump and injectors on the 305 tbi motor?
