Air Cleaner Question?

im buying a new air cleaner i was wondering if anyone knows offhand how much taller of an air cleaner will fit under the stock hood of an RS with a stock intake and throttle body

Axle/Gears: 3.08
I have a 3/4in spacer and a 4in open element and It clears fine.

You can get a 14"x3" element under it. If you get a drop-base cleaner you'll have to keep the spacer ring. If you get a non-drop base you'll have to throw it away. Get a non-drop.

Mark that's only half true. If you have no plans on getting/making a TBI Spacer then a non-drop base with a 3" filter is your limit. But if you use a 3/4" TBI Spacer you can use a drop base (without using that POS gold ring) and a 4" filter. Eitherway will be more then enough air.
