XDF Files

I'm feeling super retarded right now. I have no idea how to download an xdf file off the internet. It seems everything downloads as a txt file. Is there a way to change this txt into a xdf file? I'm trying to get one for the 747 ecu with the $42 mask. Thanks

If you look closely the .xdf file just has a .txt tacked on the end of it. People do this because your only allowed to post .txt and picture files. Just rename the file and delete the .txt off the end it'll work like a charm then.

I guess I dont understand. I found a xdf file on the internet and it downloaded as a txt document. I went to rename it and .txt was not on the end. I renamed it anyway and tunerpro still wont open it. I dont know a whole lot about computers. What am I doing wrong. Was there something else I needed to do?

Open a folder, go to Tools, click Folder Options. Then click the view tab and uncheck "hide known file extensions" .txt or .xdf etc are called file extensions.
