Installing Edelbrock TBI Intake

I am thinking about getting one. Any suggestions? I see a lot of you talk about boring it out to 2". My current tbi isn't bored out to 2" so will this matter? Easy install or is there any tips I should know before getting into it? Thanks guys.

I intalled my 2nd intake 2 months ago on my friends '88GT mustang. With the 2 of us it was still a pain. Damn fords. Our friends '68 327 Camaro was a LOT easier(check my website for info on that project).
tips:
1. Get the right intake manifold gasket for EGR. They gave us the wrong one so it might not pass smog now
2. Put something in the lifter valley to keep crap out of there like lots of paper towels or something.
3. make sure nothing falls into the heads so stuff some paper towel in those too. If a bolt or something doesfall down there, there are screwdriver looking things with magnets on the end to get them out.
4. be CAREFUL with the distributor. we marked which way theshaft pointed but we should have maked where the rotor was pointing under the cap.
5. Drain the radiator so you don't get water in the oil. If you do just make sure you change your oil soon after you change the intake.
6. use anti-seze(sp?) on the treads of the bolts.(the Trick-Flow instrucitons said to bathe them in motor oil)
7. Be very liberal on the silicone for the front and rear of the intake.
8. clean surfaces throughly with a putty knife or something.
thats it I think.

E,

Mine was a pain too. I fortunatly did mark both the shaft of the distributer and the rotor. Saved me lots of time. Good Luck.

I was shocked to see that companies sold a taillight
set for a rustang! Since when do they have taillights????

Bird305, I was gonna bore mine just in case
I ever went to a bigger TB unit. I don't know that it is necessary though. The new edelbrock manifold I looked at needed to
have a hole drilled and taped for the AC support bracket, at least the one I saw did.
