Timing

Hey Guys

What is the best timing advance for TBI?
8 degrees, 10 degrees, or less?
I am running 8 degrees advanced now.

There isn't any cut and dry number. All cars are different. You have to test the car to see which number it likes the best. At the track, gtech...

I agree with Brent, all cars are different depending on modifications.

For the record I am running 12 degress advanced with a blower. The car loves the extra timing. When I was dailing in the car at the track I gained .4 tenths by advancing the spark from 8 degrees to 12. The only way to accuratly tune the timing is at the track.

8 degrees is a great stating point if your doing your own chips.
To run anything else, means testing by measuring performance.
