Wow, I am having the same exact problem. I think, though not 100% certain, mine is linked to the Ignition control module and the wiring going to it. Have you tried testing it at a local auto place?
I plan on working on mine tomorrow so if I figure out what the problem was on mine I will let you know for sure.

Stupid question but is your fuel pump kicking on?Make sure you are getting fuel to the throttlebody if so buy a noid light,Im not convinced your injectors are not getting signal.A noid light plugs into the injector harnass and then you will know for sure is it is getting a signal. You shoul be able to buy one or a set for 15-20 dollars. The only other thing I can think of is some cars if you are not getting oil press the computer will shut down fuel to save the motor.

1320-camaro-383, from what I've read the oil pressure sending unit only controls the fuel pump after the car has started, not before.
I had miy module tested at Autozone near me and it tested fine though I don't really trust Autozone that much. If you want you can check out the post I have in this forum called "Still No Start".

ok well my car hates me I think. Now my injectors are firing and I am getting good fuel spray but it won't fire up. I had already replaced all of the spark plugs previously as well as the wires.
Spike, let me know if it was the module or not

I would advise into getting a new ecm rather than going to a junkyard. I thought the same way you did and the one I got from the junkyard was bad cause it started throwing numerous codes. I bought a brand new one and it hasn't thrown a code yet.
It's up to you though. I think the ecm from the junkyard I went to was about $45 whereas a new one is about $100 I think, maybe a little less.

MAV, I GOT IT
i replaced magnetic pickup in dizzy rite under rotor. by tracing out the wiring i figured this sends pulses to ecm to fire injectors. weird that motor woudl still run when fed gas. so that pickup must be the trigger for the injector.all that for an $8. part
