just realized a + for all you with the tbi intake manifold
the main shute if you will is wider, so that there isnt a restriction from the tbi into the single/dual plane. but instead it is wide enough to just have free flow into the manifold. the outs on center with a 2" tb are 4 5/16. the inside width of my torquer2 is 3 3/4. so when i get my tbi to square bore adapter there will be edges that will be impeded and causing turbulance. either that or ill have a bottleneck. im not possitive what the adapter looks like.
somebody correct me if you guys with the tbi specific intakes are what i described. freer flowing. anybody got flowratings of a 2" tbi on a torquer vs a tbi specific. what am i gona loose with a bottleneck??
anyway, i think i should stopp thinking for the night

Pablo had to grind and angle his intake because the TBI is wider. or make a spacers that angles the bores inward. like how the TBI to 2 barrel carb intake adapter is angled from Howel. basicly funnels the TBI inward to the center.

How about turning the tb about 45* [/] instead of [-] allowing the bores of the tb to cover the widest part of the plenum on the manifold. I know that the throttle and tv cables would require some work but if it worked well it might be worth it.

funny, i brought this same idea up to pablo and he told me to get off the drugs.
i think you would have a problem with even air fuel to the cylinders that would now be closer to the tb bores. but, couldnt hurt to have somebody try it sometime, i think it could be done with maybe a single plane insert that might help bandage the incorrect distribution problem im assuming it would cause.

I don't think it would matter considering that you do not center the throttle bores over the center of the opening of the intake when you use a tb adapter. I really think it would work the same. The engine doesn't know if it's in the front ,back or diagonal. It will still have the same effect. It also shouldn't matter whether it's a single plane or dual plane manifold.
