14x3@110 14" x 3" @ 110 Degree Airbox with 4" inlets. w/o filter assembly=118.95

14x3@80 14" x 3" @ 80 Degree Airbox with 4" inlets. w/o filter assembly=118.95

14x4S Single 4" model Airbox, with 4" inlet. w/o filter assembly=113.99

14x3SC 14" x 3" tall Cowl induction or shaker hood scoop=113.99

Which one would I get with my ASCD Ram Air hood and my 14x3 K&N Open element? I am confused by what those 3 types of setups are, and does anyone else think that 114.00 bucks seems a lot for just a ramair box?
And now I am really confused cause I was just checkin out the pics of them installed. All of the tubes from the ram air boxes are going down into the engine bay. WTF? I thought these were for our ram air hoods? Is this just a ram air effect box or what?

No Smarticus, those boxes have been around a lot longer than the 4thgen Ram Air hoods. hoods. They were made for carb cars so you could replace headlights with scoups or put the scoupes under bumper or anywhere in front of the car.

The TBI on our cars is the same diameter as a carb (the part the air cleaner sits on anyway). It would fit on your TBI just like any old open element air cleaner. You'd have to decide on where you'd wanna run the tubes...I've seen people get rid of thier brights and run 'em to the holes (pretty trick). They've also got kits that are like the GM dual snorkel setup that have the tubes run up to the end of the hood.

Some years ago I invested alot of time in snorkels, used 3-4-5" tubing, when the jetting was fully optimized for each and in back to back tests none improved over a fully optimized Open element filter. Also, on the 305/350 the 2.25 was the fastest. I used a .75 inner ring and then a 3" filter so the unknowing thought I was running that large of filter. The air colum above the TB is kinda critical if your looking for the max. Would have thought the 350 would have liked more, actually a 355 with a Comp 270 cam.
