pcv valve

i recently took out my pcv system and put in breathers. On my in take where the pcv hose meets the throttle body, how do i plug it up? should i even plug it up. i tried plugging it up, and my engine idle dropped to 500 rpms. when i unplugged it, it jumped to abouta grand. so the question is plug or unplug?

PLUG IT. that is an enormous vacuum leak. your car will not run at its optimum with that hole there. plug it with either a vacuum cap from the parts store. or cut the hose off and stick a bolt in it.

your ingine is supposed to idle at 500. NOT 1k

You cannot totally remove your PCV unless it is a drag/race-only vehicle!!! Your oil will get REALLY corrosive and dirty from the blowby gasses in the c-case, never mind the gasket leak problems... You need PCV!!! JUst make sure you use the RIGHT one becasue the orifices and springs in them are different (look at the bottom of the plunger for letter codes/etc)

You have no PCV at all right now???

You can make it to where the gases are vented to the open air instead of into the engine, but why waste that GAS, keep the PCV and try to burn it again.
