305 TPI and L03 heads the same?

I'm just wondering if they are. Because I want to try to get my 305 into the mid 14's and am wondering if I wanted to swap to TPI later are the heads the same as the LB9?

Or should I keep the TBI and see if I can get thet sucka to run 14's?

Then once I get the car into the 14's I'm going to put it on the bottle to run 13's.

Tell me this Tas, Would I benifit or lose out if I put my L98 heads on my L03? I know that doing that might lower my compression because of the differance in combustion chamber sizes but how much do you think? Or should I keep the stock heads and just work on intake and exhaust?

hey if Lb9 heads are so much better how come when a TPI injection system was put on a L03 the numbers where identical to the factory Lb9 numbers? The lb9 heads couldnt be all the much better fi the injection system is what made the HP difference between l03 and lb9.

BTW u will lose a considerable amount of compression with 350 heads. Have them milled and not only will u regain ur OEM compression u could probably increase compression resulting in more hp.

L98 heads will make you loose too much compression. stick with 305 TPI ones if you wana be a budget racer.

Yeah thats what I thought. I dont want to dump alot of money into the 305 though when someday I know I'll put a 350 in it. Maybe I'll just get the stock heads pocket ported.

um no. stock heads are worthless. Shell out the $70 on some low mile 305 TPI heads and port and polish those.
