Ultimate tbi mod problems

I have a 305 tbi that i did the tbi mods to a few months ago sortly after i started smelling gas on WOT pulled the air cleaner and noticed the passenger side fuel injector was spraying fuel around the outside of the bore. the spray pattern looks normal but could it be clogged? both injectors seem to be open more than they are closed at idle would increasing the fuel pressure help? is there anyway to clean the injectors that works without using fuel additives or one that is sure to work?

Well, if u did rebuild the tbi unit then u should have noticed that there is 1 O-ring in the bottom of the injector and another one with a brass ring around the top, mine leaked after i replaced the injectors, all it was was the upper O-ring wasn't seated properly.... so i'd check that first.

i dont mean it is leaking from the injector... just all the fuel isnt going down the throttle bore some of it is landing around the outside of the bore

Is it a drop here and there, or is it enough to cause issues? Make sure that there arent any leaks by priming the system several times with the engine off and if it looks leak free, then its probably ok if its just small ammounts. Mine does that as well.

Sometimes after popping open my hood after driving hard I smell gasoline. I pop off the air cleaner lid and notice a little bit of gas around the TBI bores. I worry a bit about it, but I think its normal.

I noticed the possible "overspray" the ultimate TBI mod could cause after rebuilding my stock un-modded TBI. I stacked 2 injector pods on top of each other and the gas was almost misting over the stock configured bores.
